MATSim Tutorial and User Meeting

2nd MATSim Tutorial and User Meeting, to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between MATSim users and MATSim developers. The seminar consists of two parts:
1. MATSim tutorial, Monday morning to Wednesday noon For the tutorial part we will have lectures and demonstrations in the morning given by MATSim developers from Berlin and Zurich. In the afternoon we will offer tutorials on how to use MATSim for newcomers as well as for advanced users. This will include elements such as
- installing matsim on your laptop
- configuring and running matsim
- how to extend matsim using Java
2. MATSim user meeting, Wednesday noon to Thursday noon As last year the user meeting is an opportunity to present current projects and applications of MATSim. If you want to present, please submit a short abstract (max. 300 words) to us by 31.01.2010.
Registration
Participants can separately register for the tutorial part and, or the user meeting part. Registration fees are:
1. Tutorial
250.- Swiss francs for students studying for a Diploma or BSc/MSc degree
400.- Swiss francs for others
2. User meeting
100.- Swiss francs for students studying for a Diploma or BSc/MSc degree 150.- Swiss francs for others
The registration fee includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks. The registration fee for the tutorial includes lunch on Monday and Tuesday and a dinner on Tuesday. The registration fee for the user meeting includes a lunch on Wednesday. Please manually register with Valérie Willimann by naming your name, organization, registration (tutorial/user meeting/tutorial and user meeting). We will inform you about the details of the payment order later.
Accommodation Participants are kindly requested to organize their accommodation themselves. The location of the seminar will be at walking distance from the ETH main building (Rämistrasse 101, 8092 Zürich).
