Renaud Haerlingen is an independent Architecture & Planning Professional from Brussel. Formerly he was working at Rotor and now work at materiuum.ch in Geneva.
Established in 2005, Rotor employs architects, designers, and various professionals intrigued by the movement of materials concerning resources, waste utilisation and repurposing. Rotor shares innovative approaches for salvaging and minimising waste through workshops, publications, and exhibitions. In 2016, they launched the spin-off project Rotor DC, a place to buy salvaged building components.
Matériuum is an association, based in Geneva and Lausanne, and dedicated to preserving natural resources. To this end, it promotes and facilitates reuse in the construction and cultural sectors in French-speaking Switzerland.
Renaud Haerlingen will present some pragmatic projects, where reuse is shown to be a resource for creativity and innovation.
