The team has a constant exchange with experts from the profession and perform research on urban design and related specialist fields. Special attention is given to combining research, teaching and practice. A variety of methods are applied to find specific answers to questions on the phenomenon of the city.
The central research questions of the Chair remain the challenges of a sustainable urban design. Sustainability is considered a comprehensive concept that is the centre of the research, far beyond technical-ecological indicators and the long-term development capability of the city as a resource.
