In tutto il mondo stanno emergendo soluzioni alternative da risorse locali, come terra e materiali a base biologica e riutilizzati, e stanno dando vita a un output rigenerativo grazie alla loro capacità di contribuire al ripristino e al miglioramento dell’ambiente naturale e sociale circostante. Tuttavia non sono ancora diffuse nel settore edilizio a causa della mancanza di informazioni tra i decisori e della mancanza di competenze tra i professionisti.
Il MAS/CAS ETH in Regenerative Materials e i programmi di formazione ETH internazionali lanciati dalla cattedra di Edilizia sostenibile dell’ETH di Zurigo mirano ad affrontare questo problema. Trasmettono le conoscenze e le competenze necessarie per mettere in discussione le nostre tecniche di costruzione convenzionali e per promuovere i materiali rigenerativi dall’estrazione delle risorse al cantiere, al funzionamento e al fine vita dei materiali da costruzione, fin dalla fase preliminare del programma di costruzione.
