Cruising-for-parking is a common phenomenon in urban areas worldwide. Properly understanding and mitigating cruising can reduce travel times, alleviate traffic congestion, and improve the local environment. In this paper, we present a case study of the city of Zurich, using a macroscopic model to analyze the current cruising-for-parking conditions. The empirical case study is designed to conclude on the predictive ability of the model.
